Additions to the Spring 2006 Build

I am sure that the Tablet Committee is covering many bases but I wanted to make sure they knew that there is a new version of Inkscape, v 0.43. It is very good and would be nice if the tablets had this on the default build.

// side note: Google sponsored several student developers this summer to improve Inkscape and they did a fabulous job.

Thanks, we'll keep that in mind.

For the Windows Side:

TeX Maker -- An excelent LaTeX editor that is very similar to Kyle

SpywareBlaster -- A good program that, just like Spybot Search and Destroy, applys known problems with browsers.

Programmers Notepad -- Excelent editor that has simple syntax highlighting. Great for writing code in Windows and then using Cygwin to compile.

Simple File Shredder -- As many people point out, correctly, Windows and the applications on it like to use a lot of disk space. This utility can be used as a secure shredder for files and also can clean out the cache from the browsers and other temp files. Naturally this could easily be done with a script but this is a more user friendly way for users to clean their profile. On the tablets this could help keep the clutter down and also speed up the apparent operations of the box.

Did we ever agree on how much more space to give the Windows side?
